Garland is home to 5 recreation centers with a new center opening in late fall of 2010. Each facility offers a variety of programs and services that are enjoyed by people of all ages. From dancing and painting to aerobics and sports, find activities that improve and enrich your life. Gale Fields and Granger Recreation Centers are home to The Body Shops fitness rooms to help you meet your fitness goals.
Patron ID Cards
All drop-in patrons are required to purchase and scan a Patron ID Card when entering a City of Garland Recreation Center. In order to obtain a card, a
Patron ID Card Form
must be filled out for each patron. Valid ID and proof of residency must be provided for each patron. Legal guardians must fill out and sign forms for patrons under the age of 18, provide valid ID, signature verification, and proof of residency. Guardians may be required to prove guardianship. Children under the age of 7 do not need a card, but must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older with a valid card.
Age 7 - 12
Garland Resident $3 per year
Non-Resident $5 per year
Age 13 and up
Garland Resident $5 per year
Non-Resident $8 per year
The Body Shops
Patrons are required to purchase a Fitness Pass to use The Body Shops fitness areas. A
Patron ID Card Form
and a
Fitness Rules Agreement Form
must be filled out for each patron. Valid ID and proof of residency must be provided for each patron.
