Sunday afternoon just before 5:00 pm Garland Police responded to the 2400 block of Beltline Road in reference to a gun shot victim. When police arrived they found a Honda four door with what appeared to be several bullet holes in the car and windows. Police contacted a 22 year old Garland man who had a gun shot wound to the hand. He told officers while he was sitting in his car at the red light on Buckingham on the east side of Shiloh he heard gun fire and bullets started coming through his car and windows. He was struck in the hand by one of the bullets and a 20 year old female who was riding with him received several cuts on her face and arms from breaking glass. The female’s 4 month old daughter was in a child safety seat in the back seat and was covered with broken glass but was not injured. The three were transported to Parkland Hospital of Dallas and will recover from their injuries. Sunday night around 9:20 pm Police received another call on Walnut just east of Plano road of a 37 year old Dallas man who had been shot. The man said he was sitting at the red light in his Dodge P/U with his 9 year old son when he heard gun fire and bullets started coming through the driver’s door of his vehicle. The man was shot in the abdomen and was transported to Baylor Hospital of Dallas where Doctors said his injuries were not life threatening. His son was not injured.
