The 18th annual "Taste of Garland" was a phenomenal success this year. In addition to sampling food from 20 of Garland’s best restaurants, many of the 600 guests walked away with great door prizes! Thanks to all the generous bids on various items donated to the silent and live auctions, this year’s Taste netted over $17,000! which will be used to help pay rewards for information received to solve local crimes.
The annual "Taste of Garland" is the only fundraiser for Garland CrimeStoppers and has been a major success since the first event was held in 1989. Each year the "Taste of Garland" has grown with more local restaurants wanting to let the public sample their best cuisine. For one price, the public can taste the best the chef has to offer from over 20 restaurants in the Garland area.
