Update: Herman Townley Charged with Two Additional Indecency with a Child Cases
Garland Police continue their investigation into the conduct of Herman Townley when he is around children. Detectives have filed two additional cases of Indecency with a Child by Exposure. The exposure charge is a 3rd degree felony and carries a punishment of 2-10 years in prison along with a fine up to $10,000. Bond on the two additional charges has not been set at this time.
This all began Thursday afternoon when Garland Police executed a search warrant in the 800 block of Bard Drive at Townley’s residence. As a result 57 year old Herman Wayne Townley was arrested and later charged with three counts of Indecency With a Child by Contact, a 2nd degree felony. Bond was set at $10,000 on each of those charges.
The five cases now involve three victims who are both male and female and are under the age of 15.
Detectives believe there is still the possibility there are other victims. Further updates will be given as they become available.
