Saturday afternoon just before 4:30 pm Garland Police responded the call of a possible shooting in the 500 block of Reinosa Dr.  When officers arrived they found 57 year old Marilyn Delacruz lying in the doorway at the front door of the residence.  Ms. Delacruz had no signs of life and had what appeared to be several gun shot wounds.  Fire paramedics arrived shortly afterwards and also found no signs of life on Marilyn Delacruz. 
 
Officers made contacted inside the house with 26 year old Laura Delacruz, the daughter of Marilyn, and 54 year old Miguel Delacruz, the husband to Marilyn.  After speaking with both the Laura and Miguel police placed Laura Delacruz into custody for the murder of her mother. 
 
Laura Delacruz is currently in the Garland Jail and charged with Murder – Family Violence.  Bond has been set at $50,000.
