This afternoon, May 14, 2007, at about 4:00 PM, Dallas Police spotted the 2004 Ford Focus that had been reported as the vehicle being driven by Jonathan Taylor in the abduction of 7 year-old Dakota Parker and his 5 year-old sister Elizabeth Michelle.  When they located the car, it was parked in a driveway in the 2400 block of Dathe Street in Dallas at a vacant house.  Dallas officers went up to the house where they found both Dakota and Michelle at the location.  Officers also found Jonathan at the house and arrested him for the Garland warrant of Kidnapping.  The children were brought to the Garland Police Department where fire paramedics checked their physical condition.  They appeared to be fine, however, were very unclean, their clothes soiled and smelled strongly of urine.  They still had on the same clothes they had been taken away in on Friday.  The house where they were found had no electricity or water.  The kids have now been reunited back with their mother and have gone back to their home in Frisco.  Jonathan Taylor is currently in the Garland jail being held on the warrant for Kidnapping with a $50,000 bond.  Investigators will continue to follow up on the case checking to see if any additional charges will be filed against Taylor

On Friday May 11, 2007,  at approximately 8:30 PM, 36 year-old Jonathan Benjamin Taylor was taking care of his brother’s step-children, 7 year-old Dakota Parker and 5 year-old Elizabeth Michelle Parker.  He took the children to do some shopping from his mother’s house located in the 4000 block of Sweetbriar in Garland.  He failed to show back up with the kids and police took a missing persons report on Saturday morning.  Throughout the weekend, the family and police have tried to locate the three through family and friends without success.  With the given facts and what Garland Police have now learned of Taylor’s background, they believe the children are in danger and are now working this case as a child abduction.  Johnathan is believed to be driving a 2004 silver Ford Focus 4-door with Texas License plates X01VXG.  Police are concentrating their efforts to locate the children in the Dallas metroplex area, and also believe Taylor may have ties to the Greenville and Houston areas of Texas.
