Robbery Suspects Posing As Police Officers

Garland Police responded to the robbery of an individual in the 3800 block of West Walnut Street on Sunday morning, June 10, 2007, just before 2:00 am.  When police contacted the Hispanic male victim, he told police that three men drove up to him in a Ford Crown Victoria in the 400 block of Bullock Street, got out, identified themselves as police officers and asked him for his papers.  The victim hesitated and was immediately struck several times by at least one of the suspects.  One of the suspects then grabbed his billfold from his pocket and the trio got back into the car and drove away.  The victim was taken to Baylor Hospital of Garland for his injuries and was later released.  He did suffer the loss of one of his front teeth from being struck by one of the men.

The suspects were described as being in their late teens to earlier twenties:

  1. Suspect - Black male, medium build, wearing dark colored baseball cap, white tank top t-shirt, baggy blue jean shorts.
  2. Suspect - Black male, wearing dark shirt and blue jeans.
  3. Suspect - Black male, medium build, wearing dark colored t-shirt and dark pants.
Garland Police need help in identifying these three men who are posing as police officers and driving a Ford Crown Victoria.  Anyone with information can call Garland’s Crime Stopper’s tip line, 972-272-8477.
