You cannot turn in an application before the application period begins.
You do not need to send your resume or transcripts.
Applications will be taken online
You must fill out an application with the City of Garland if you want to be notified of the next application period(this is not a fire department application).
You will be notified when the application period begins. At that time you will apply for the firefighter/paramedic position.
Understanding and following instructions are very important. We receive a minimum of 600 applications every year. We hire based on positions available. There may be 5 or 20 openings, the numbers change every year. Study material can be found at libraries and bookstores.
