Lake Edge Zoning District and Development Standards

The tract of land located between private properties and Lake Ray Hubbard is commonly called the "Take Area."  This tract is owned by the City of Dallas and is leased to the City of Garland.  At this time, the City of Garland has successfully negotiated an arrangement with the City of Dallas that provides eligible adjoining owners an opportunity to sublease this property from the City of Garland.

The City of Garland is currently in negotiations with the City of Dallas regarding some issues that have come up with the Development Standards and the sublease agreement for the Lake Edge Zoning District.  These documents will be available on this page once these issues have been resolved.  We expect to be able to proceed ahead with subleasing at that time.

The information listed below is available information regarding the sublease program.  Eligible owners who wish to sublease their allotted tract are encouraged to read and understand the provisions of the Lake Edge Zoning Distract and Development Standards once they become available.
