The Board of Adjustment considers certain regulations of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, hears appeals of administrative decisions related to the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, and regulates legal non-conforming uses. Effective November 2005, the Building Inspection Department serves as the staff coordinator for the Board of Adjustment.

There is a cost of $200.00 for residential and $300.00 for non-residential cases to be heard by the Board. This fee is non-refundable. The Board of Adjustment is composed of nine members appointed by the City Council. Eight members vote and one member serves as an alternate on a rotating basis.
The Board of Adjustment meets the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of City Hall, located at 200 North Fifth Street.
