1. Where can I get information on an arrest warrant?

2. I filed a Motion and it has been denied by the judge. Can I speak to the judge regarding this matter?

No.

3. I have a court date set. Can I come in and pay my ticket before the court date?

Juvenile cases, and any "Family Violence" offense must appear at the initial hearing before any payment could be made. For any other offense, you can come in and pay, or you can pay by telephone or by using the online payments service.

4. I am planning on getting married. Can one of the Municipal Judges perform the services?

Yes. Municipal Judges can perform wedding ceremonies. You will need to contact the Judges Secretary at 972-487-7320 to schedule an appointment.

5. If I paid my fine and now I want to change the judgment; what should I do?

Paying a fine waives any right to an appeal.

6. If a family member or friend is held in jail in some other city, on a Class C Garland ticket, can I post a bond or pay the Capias fine at the Municipal Court in Garland?

Yes. You will need to appear at the Brad Neighbor Municipal Court during regular business hours only to post the bond or pay the fine.

7. Can I send documents back to that same online email address?

Yes, any requested or required documents can be sent to the email address that responds to your initial request

8. When, Where, and How do I pay my Citation?

You may pay by credit card online at Pay Fines or by phone at 888-604-7888 (PLC 7488). You may pay by check or money order by placing your payment in the drop box to the right of the front door or by mail to 1791 W. Avenue B, Garland, TX 75042. Or you may pay by cash, check, money order or credit card in person at the same listed address. Citations without a judgement should be paid within 12 days of receipt to avoid additional fees, and cases with a judgment should be paid immediately or as instructed by the Judge to avoid additional fees.

If you are making specific requests through one of the online options, the Clerk will instruct you when and how to pay.

9. Can I send a fax to request a Court Date or an Extension?

Garland doesn’t offer extensions, we offer Online Services for Service requests. 

10. Can I get a virtual Court date?

There are currently no virtual court hearings; all court proceedings are done in person.

11. My License Plate is attached to a warrant that's not mine, what steps do I take to correct this?

Contact a Court Clerk and make them aware of this issue. The Clerk will investigate the issue and may refer you to the Garland Police Department to have the Officer correct/clarify the plate listed on the citation.
